Libraries
Library design excites us because of the importance these facilities have to their communities: they serve as symbolic anchors and provide essential resources. Our firm's decades-long focus on libraries has led to the successful completion of over 30 projects, ranging in scope from 2500 to 40,000 square feet.
Design goals for these projects include the creation of a visual image appropriate to the site and surroundings, and the meeting of wide ranging technical and functional demands.
Public Facilities
Our public facility projects are wide ranging: libraries, city halls, fire stations and community centers. These buildings house important services and visually enhance the communities they support.
Each project is developed through an interactive and collaborative process, often with public involvement. The end result is a facility that integrates site, building and interior design concepts into a strong and cohesive whole.
Institutional
Our church and school projects typically involve working with large group clients on facilities with specialized needs. That dynamic process, guided also by the projects site and surroundings, invariably produces one-of-a-kind results.
Commercial/Medical
Lewis Architecture + Interior Design has a wide spectrum of clients and project types from medical offices to retail/commercial/tenant improvements, banks and even airplane hangars.
LEWIS also collaborates with interior designer for dental offices, Dannix Design Team, adding depth to our experience.
Residential
Lewis Architecture + Interior Design is a firm of individuals dedicated to their clients. Residential projects are all about personal relationships and mutual understanding. We delight in getting to know people, their lifestyles, families, and sharing our design talent with them. We work primarily from referrals in this highly individualized area of architecture and interior design. What we create is as unique and individual as the client.
